Building Stronger Foundations and Bringing More of the Game to Life

From October 24–30, we advanced DesktopGL campaign and storefront features, released the Forum build, and improved the web platform’s foundations, discovery, and mobile experience.

We redesigned the Campaign chapter-selection experience and advanced its map presentation, authored-level support, and scripted camera controls. We also reviewed the interface across game viewports and improved tools for profiling content work.

The storefront gained database-backed management for product visibility and content packages, with related integration work in DesktopGL. We also advanced player profile features, including PersonaPlate entitlements and social connections.

Web platform and Forum release

Most web work focused on server content and baseline structure. We released the Forum build and continued improving the site’s organization and mobile presentation.

Security and account access

We strengthened hosting protections and account-access reliability. Public notes keep this work general and leave out sensitive configuration and operational details.

AI readiness and discovery

We added machine-readable API discovery and links to published resources, along with agent registration information. The site also gained published AI content preferences and a Markdown response option for compatible clients.

Mobile refinements

We improved the Elementals page layout and artwork alignment. The site’s mobile navigation now uses a single row of destination icons, with a responsive logo above it.

Developer’s Thoughts

A lot of this week’s work went into strengthening the foundations behind our web and game servers. As online services face an increasingly challenging environment, improving resilience and limiting opportunities for misuse has become an important part of the work. It’s also been a worthwhile challenge and a valuable learning experience.

With that groundwork underway, we’re getting back to DesktopGL development. We’ve begun building more authored, illustrative game screens and interface elements to give the game a more polished feel. We look forward to sharing screenshots and updated player guide pages with supporting media!
