New player guide

Learn it in one round.

Your deck is your toolkit. Your Hero is your anchor. The battlefield is where your best ideas get loud.

01 — The goal

Be the last Hero standing.

Each player begins with an active Hero. Reduce opposing Heroes to zero Life while protecting your own. Units, Spells, Artifacts, Domains, and your Hero Power are all parts of the same plan.

02 — Before the bell

Choose a Hero. Build around their elements.

A standard deck has 50 cards: 20 basic Domains and 30 other cards. Your Hero's elemental affinities tell you what kinds of energy they can create, then your deck decides how you spend it.

04 — The field

Five lanes make every placement matter.

Units occupy five lanes, each with three depths. A lane can be a fortress, a feint, or the road straight to an enemy Hero. Domains can bind to lanes and give your formation a new angle.
